Stelios KYMPOUROPOULOS
Stelios Kympouropoulos is a psychiatrist, disability rights advocate, and former Member of the European Parliament, with a long-standing commitment to rare disease policy, health equity, and patient-centered care. Living with spinal muscular atrophy, he brings both professional expertise and lived experience to his work, advocating for stronger healthcare systems that respond to the real needs of people living with rare diseases and disabilities.
During his term in the European Parliament, he worked actively on issues related to public health, social affairs, accessibility, and equal opportunities, while also supporting initiatives that advanced the visibility and rights of people living with rare and chronic conditions.
