Dr. Emmanuel Kostakis is a global leader in Market Access and Healthcare Strategy, dedicated to shaping patient-centric, sustainable access solutions. With over 18 years of experience spanning pharmaceuticals, biotech, and consulting, he has a track record of driving transformation at the intersection of innovation, policy, and patient value.

As Head of HTA Capability & Operations at Takeda, Dr. Kostakis leads global initiatives to streamline Health Technology Assessments (HTAs), ensuring that regulatory frameworks translate into meaningful patient outcomes. He has been instrumental in developing scalable access models, optimizing payer engagement, and integrating real-world evidence (RWE) into decision-making to accelerate equitable access to life-changing therapies.

Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Amgen, where he pioneered global payer engagement strategies, digital innovation in access, and multi-stakeholder collaboration to enhance healthcare system efficiencies. His expertise spans strategic market access, pricing and reimbursement, value-based partnerships, and business transformation.

A scientist by training, Dr. Kostakis holds a Ph.D. in Neurosciences & Pharmacology from Boston University and in Leadership - Market Access Strategy from the London School of Economics.
