Gergely joined the EIB in 2017 as an Investment Officer in the Growth Capital & Venture Debt Division prior to which he spent 12 years in corporate and investment banking with a major European bank covering a range of industries and geographies. Within the EIB Gergely focuses on the life sciences sector. Among others, he has been looking after programmes targeting key areas of policy attention, such as infectious diseases, where the Bank works closely together with the European Commission in order to maximize impact.
